Thinking Metal is our own independent record label and currently looks after two bands, Skin Mechanix and Ion.

The site delivers information about the artists, details of forthcoming gigs and samples of music and video.

It also supports an on-line shop and streaming audio (which plays in the background) so that visitors can continue surfing whilst listening to the tunes.

After a series of facelifts that didn't really seem to fit the message the label was trying to convey, we finally arrived at the look and feel they were after, an image that they felt harks back to their roots in the late 70's/early 80's New Wave movement. In other words the post-punk technology boom that ushered in the likes of Tubeway Army, Bill Nelson, John Foxx and Ultravox.

Maybe it's a case of rose-tinted glasses but the music of that era still sounds better, purer, more energetic. What do you think?
